Do You Backup Your Data?

*This post is written for IDrive.com*

For those who are not sure what I’m talking about, computer backup is the storing of copies of your files in a location apart from your hard drive. You can either do it the old way, copying the files into floppy disks (do people still use floppy nowadays? heh!), burn them on CDs or you can also do online backup

Imagine you are a freelance writer with a lot of assignments and articles due to be sent to your editor for publication. Suddenly your computer crashed or it got attacked with virus and now all your hard work are gone. If you have the data on online backup, you can just retrieve them and set up your computer back to normal and continue with your writing work. Or if you don’t take any contingency plan, you can cry a river and spend the next 2 weeks writing back all the articles with the hope that you can still get the same oomph and zest in words from the back of your mind..huhu!

So my advice, if you think your world will be wrecked if you lose the data in your hard drive, it’s time to consider subscribing to IDrive-E Online Backup plans. You can always try their IDrive-E Basic plan because you will get 2GB of storage space absolutely free.

Plus with their added features like Remote Backup which gives you a hands-free automated and continuous backup with no complicated scheduling procedures and Continuous Data Protection which allows automatic backup of modified files at almost real time (every 10 minutes), who says backing up data is such a chore?
