As much as I don’t know how to play chess, I am still interested to see and learn what other challenging games would be like and one of them is backgammon.

From my research, backgammon is the oldest known recorded game in history.

You could trace back its origin thousands of years ago to similar boardgames played by the Egyptians, Sumerians, Romans, and Persians.

Gaming boards of 3 x 10 squares have been found extensively in ancient Egyptian archaeological sites. The game was known to the ancient Egyptians as the Game of Thirty Squares or Senet.

The Romans left evidence of a game called Ludus Duodecim Scriptorum “The Game of 12 Lines” with leather boards and sets of 30 markers, 15 of ebony and 15 of ivory and is thought to be derived from the Egyptian Senat.

Now you no longer need a wooden board and stones as the markers as you have the online backgammon ready to be installed on your PC.

With BackgammonMasters you also have the chance to try the online version of the popular Spanish dice game, Perudo in addition to their poker and backgammon.

With the increasing interest from the Latin market, the company even has to open a branch office in Central America. Maybe in the coming months we would be able to see more popular games for the Latin Markets are being offered online as well.
