A Homemaker’s Diary

Still Going Strong…

without comments

Still on the topic of wedding anniversary..somehow I can’t believe that we have been married for more than half a decade..

Well, for those who wonder, I got the blue box of paints I wrote about earlier last Sunday…Thanks Hubby..muah muah! And I think I have to ask Hubby for more.

There will be The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale from 26Nov till 2Dec at Amcorp Mall, and the books they are selling are like dirt cheap, something like RM8 for the normal retail price of RM30++ for fiction (which means for the price of 1 book I can get 3 books at the sale..huhu!)

The good thing is Hubby will be on leave on the 26th, in conjunction with Raya Haji which falls on Friday (which I will not be cooking anything as agreed with SIL, we will be going to her place in the afternoon to eat her masakan raya..keh keh!)

So in a way the anniversary celebration can start early for me, yeay! (plus MIL will no longer be with us that Thursday as we are sending her off to SIL’s house on Wednesday nite..sigh in relief!)

I can feel that the sun is shining bright upon me..haha!

November…

with 2 comments

November is our wedding anniversary month..hehe..and I think I have something in mind that I really want for our wedding anniversary gift..

Other people’s wives will most probably ask for jewelery, designers handbag or even shoes..but I only want this..

And what could I do with that blue box?

For more info about this Pebeo Vitrea 160, check out the website.

Actually I need those paints as a plan B option to enter the craft contest I mentioned in earlier entry. I am buying paper napkins for decoupage from UK with Christmas theme but in case those napkins won’t arrive a few days before the dateline (you know how sometimes customs and our local postal service work very slow..huhu), at least I have some other alternatives.

Oh, and if I don’t win the contest, I can always conduct glass painting class using the kit afterwards..as long I can get the initial investment back..heh!

Hand Painted Bottle?

with 2 comments

I am really sleepy as of now that I am typing this entry and feel really tired after conducting the craft classes this whole weekend. It has been ages since my last class and somehow I feel that making contact, putting up with students and be patient with them (to finally complete their tasks) are just not my thing these days..huhu! Nevertheless the classes went well despite some who didn’t turn up as expected..(another frustrating fact when conducting class..)

Oh, coming back to the title, I am embarking on a new mission to participate in a craft contest, with dateline by this 30 Nov 09. The theme is Christmas & New Year with 1 Malaysia..(definitely no snowman should be painted as there is no snow in Malaysia..then how?)

So anyone with suggestions on what will represent 1Malaysia celebrating Christmas and New Year, please share your mind. Fireworks at KLCC? keh keh..Christmas tree in shopping complex?..that sounds like Malaysians style of being in New Year spirit.

Apa Hak Seorang Anak?

with 2 comments

Aqrak pernah terlihat Nabi SAW mencium cucu baginda Hassan. Aqrak berkata;

At Last..

Remember when I said that Hubby is having a week off to clear his annual leave..it turns out to be not a week off after all…huhu! Hubby has to complete some freelance project for his client which is already overdue so I thought perhaps everything should be settle latest by Monday. After all I need to stay home and wait for Amway delivery. (Niece #1 ordered Tropical Herbs set for her postnatal recovery in February 2010)

So since Hubby has to do his task, we decided not to go anywhere on weekend because after all it’s pay day and most shopping complex will be packed with people doing their shopping. We only went out to pasar malam nearby on Sunday, even then Hubby and son couldn’t go out from the car because it was raining.

Then came Monday. We waited and waited till 7pm. And yet the parcel never arrived…aarrgghh! We called the hotline, the delivery warehouse, whatever number available on Amway magazine and their website, but no one picked up the phone. If there was no delivery we would like to cabut somewhere else as the next door neighbor was doing wiring and drilling, very noisy and annoying. In the end we went to SIL house to have dinner because it was already late to go anywhere else.

So today, Tuesday, Hubby called Amway again. And guess what they said because of their current relocation to the new HQ, the order was not in their delivery system and they can only deliver the set on Wednesday..bullshit! You took my money on Friday, promised to deliver it the next working day and now you said my order was not in the system? What kind of management you have, dude! Sucks big time..next year when my dealership expires I will not renew it. Enough of this MLM craps..what a waste of my day!

Despite the incident of wasted Monday, today we managed to complete most of the tasks we planned. Went to SSM in Shah Alam to renew business license(s) and managed to cash out money from Western Union. I have a Singaporean student who pays this Saturday craft class fee through Western Union and she has been worried that I didn’t cash out the money since last week..haha!

We thought we would walk around after that but our son was already tired of all the waiting at SSM and he wanted to nap. But I still managed to stop at Kedai Bunga Syarikat Jelita in Seksyen 9 to buy thinner, glitter and dip..hehe! I really hate going to KL just to get some of the stuffs for the class unless it’s really necessary. The price at that shop was not really cheap compared to Jalan TAR but it was convenient. I even bought black dip to try and combine it with red since Niece #2 wedding theme will be red and black.

As of now that I’m typing this entry, our son is sleeping and Hubby is attending the briefing on the new biz I would like to venture next. Oh, he’s up already..huhu..there goes my ME-time..isk! Happy Wednesday, people!
