Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang Jaya

with 2 comments

We went to Empire Shopping Gallery today because I want to check out the new outlet of Toys R Us.

For those who still don’t know, the outlet of Toys R Us in Subang Parade is no longer operating there, they have moved to Empire.

I kind of like Subang Parade because it is a family place. They have nice cosy places to eat like Dave’s Deli, Chicken Rice Shop, Nandos, just to name a few.

But Empire will have Italiannies and Chillis. Not sure whether they will have any other slightly cheapo eating places other than that two restaurants.

Oh, Empire will also have Fitness First Platinum. The membership monthly fee is RM215 which is RM30 more expensive than the normal passport fee. The good thing is for platinum member, you can access other non platinum Fitness First but those with normal membership can’t access Platinum branch.

Err..there’s one Fitness First at The Curve as well…so Hubby will have no excuse not to work out while both of us (the son and I ) go shopping and check out IKEA..heh!

I hope there’s more interesting shops opening soon in Empire, so far they don’t even have Mothercare, so I ended up buying Son’s BUDS products in Caring Pharmacy..even there, they don’t have all the range..will have to go and buy the Bum Balm soon..somehow I still prefer Subang Parade to do most of the necessary buying..isk!

Mother’s Day – 9th May 2010

without comments

For those who are still not aware, Mother’s Day this year will be celebrated on 9th May (the second Sunday in May). Of course there are countries which celebrate Mother’s Day on different date.

So, what do I want for Mother’s Day?

Honestly, I don’t want any flower (hubby, you can save that for our wedding anniversary later..heh!). What I want is an hour or two of complete solitude, a time away from the usual daily routine – I want to sip on my drink, I want to dabble on my food, even a movie time at home is good enough. I just want a time out selfishly for myself.

Do you think I’m asking too much? A Mother’s Day should be celebrated with those she mothers, not run away from them, no? huhu..

Pinggan Lama, Kerang Rebus

with one comment

The last weekend was not that good..I was tired after the craft class on Saturday so we didn’t go out anywhere.

On Sunday we went to Amcorp Mall to check the bargain at BookXcess. It turned out all the good books were taken. I ended up buying 3 books, 2 for the price of RM1 and another one for RM2.

But I got this pinggan lama corak bunga kangkung instead..hehe!

You can’t really consider it as pinggan antik because antique is something that aged 50 years and above (or is it 100 years?)

Well, I bought one pinggan lauk, one piring kuih, one sudu, one piring cawan and another one dessert plate with made in England design, all that for RM35.

So since I want to portray a kampung style cooking, I decided to make this kerang rebus. Will update about this dish in my cooking blog later.

What Did You Do For Earth Day?

with 5 comments

I came home on Saturday after the decoupage class and then I noticed that my curry leaves plant was so togel..waaa..

This is the culprit, and not only there’s one, there were 4 on the pokok kari…sob!

I will blog about the caterpillars on my gardening blog soon. I am still reading about the complete metamorphosis of butterfly in order for me to write a good, informative entry.

Well, if someone ask me what did I do for Earth Day this year, I would say that I helped rear caterpillars..(at the expense of my curry leaves…huhu!) I hope the curry leaves plant will not die after being eaten voraciously by those hungry caterpillars.

Love World Love Sloggi

without comments

*This post is written for Love World Love Sloggi contest *

What do you love about world? For me, the world is lovable because I have my family with me, my son and my husband.

Or in another word, you could say that it’s the people who make up this world that make it so special and meaningful.

Rather than looking at the world as a mere place to live, I strongly believe that we as humans are supposed to make it cleaner, safer and a haven for all living beings.

Like when you pollute the world, be it intentionally or unintentionally, you are putting the earth in greater peril than ever.

Don’t you want to take action today, to be a part of a larger community that shows their love and support for our one and only World on Earth?

So think again, what do you really love about this world?

Is it because it is full of Surprises?

Laughter..and smiles of your loved ones..

Opportunities that will bring great joy in life.

Great company to lighten up the burden in a day’s work.

Greenery that soothes your mind and spirit..

Invention that makes your life easier and comfortable.

Well, you get it right! It’s SLOGGI!

The Love World Spring collection is made from 90% Polyester (yarn material is produced from 100% recycled plastic bottles) and 10% Elastane. You couldn’t believe it? But it’s true.

Those bra and hipster are made from recycled PET bottles. It is comfy, yet really trendy. With many colourful patterns made from ecologically friendly fabrics, I wouldn’t feel bad wearing them everyday.

I know that inside, I am making a difference in creating a cleaner world.

Let’s create awareness about this and blog about it!
