Pretty Rose, You Make My Day!

without comments

I really love to see any of the plants that I have in the garden blooms. They really make my day!

Just like this particular pot of rose plant. It has been blooming one after another. And every time a single bud comes out, I keep on reminding myself to make sure to snap a picture or two just for remembrance.

After all with the windy and rainy season like now, sometimes the fragile petals won’t last long.

I hope I would be able to add a few more pots of plants soon, the wish list includes a very bright red bougainvilla, cempaka and kenanga.

Hubby, one of these days, let’s go to Taman Warisan Pertanian and check out whether the nursery seller is there..heh!

May Oh May!

without comments

Gosh..time does fly these days..it’s already middle of May..

I conducted class on Saturday, after that we went to Sushi King because Hubby said both of them had lunch in Sushi King while I conducted the class..huhu..teringin pulak nak mkn sushi/bento..after all it’s been quite a while since I had sushi and tempura. Actually we had Mother’s Day dinner in Sakae Sushi but it ended up terribly, to the extent that I didn’t get my bento..suck big time!

So Hubby brought the son around, jalan n main while I enjoyed my early dinner peacefully..fuuh..mmg lega bila dapat mengunyah makanan dengan tenang, menikmati octopus dan menghirup miso sup..haha!

We were supposed to stock up on groceries at Jusco, but since it was Saturday (no plastic day), so macam malas pulak..after my dinner, we came home, the son took his nap till around 10pm, then afterwards we went out to eat at Pelita..sadly, not as good as the one in Subang.

So today, Sunday we went to Subang to check out Toys R Us warehouse sale..and it was disappointing. Then we went to Sunway Pyramid, to look out for new place for hair cut. Tried A Cut Above and they charge RM25 for kids. As usual, pujuk-pujuk dapat jugak la potong walaupon mukanya masam, good thing the stylist was OK…if not rasa tak berbaloi bayar RM25. Hopefully the hair cut will last until August at least, or even better until after Raya..heh!

After that we went to Jusco again to buy groceries, and stock up on minyak masak, Dynamo, Softlan…I like to buy things in advance before betul2 kehabisan so that it will be easy for me to do my house chores. I didn’t buy any bahan mentah like ikan, ayam since the stock ada lagi (have not been cooking much last week since the little one not cooperating well). Hopefully the little one will act nice tomorrow because I need to blend the chili and onion, senang kalau dah ada stok, anytime nak goreng mee ke, tumis sardin ke, buat sambal tumis ke..campak aje cili n bawang blend tu..

Sapa nak makan mee esok? Bahan untuk mee kuah semua dah ada, cili aje yang nak kena blend..hehe!

More Contest, Less Time Blogging

without comments

Well, that’s what actually happened to me these days..I was so caught up with entering contest online using my other blogs that I neglect this particular blog.

But on the good side, I get to know more people (or blogs) other than the usual one I read every now and then.

And I can only be online after the son falls asleep around 2am everyday, thus why I can’t hardly update all blogs at one go.

Oh talking about the contests, I won a book after entering an online contest by a local bookstore. Now that I have won something, the urge to enter more contests is even stronger.

Project Alpha wise, I will no longer participate in their Instant Cash Blogging because I was not in the first 100 and 50 entry for the past 3 weeks…thus I was not paid for the entries I made..maybe I should just remove those entries. After all why should I give them free advertisement when I didn’t get paid. It’s better for me not to waste my time and energy doing something which has nothing in return, right?

So what’s up with you?

What Does Being A Mother Mean To Me?

with 2 comments

I am taking some time off for myself, thanks to Hubby for taking care of the little one tonight. I consider it as an advance Mother’s Day gift from both of them.

I have been not well these few days, having fever on and off, cough, throat irritation and cold. And today as I woke up, I realized that the little one has caught the fever as well.

I have to admit that once the son is in toddlerhood, my strength and patience each day are being stretched thin. I am ashamed to admit that sometimes I wish that I don’t have any child to look after. I am so tired that I no longer enjoy the motherhood.

But then again, I keep on thinking, what will happen to my life in the next 20-30 years if I were to remain childless? Will I be satisfied leading a life – carefree, doing as I please, no responsibility towards anyone but me…and it could be lonely as well.

2 years ago I decided to become a mom, I have no idea this is what I sign up for. I thought it will all be fine, what could be so tough about caring for another human being? You feed him, make him sleep, play with him, but the reality was far, far from that, trust me!

And I was proved wrong. God has given me such tasks that are not easy to handle. Maybe because God knows that I am such a tough and stubborn person that God thought..well, We won’t give this woman an easy baby to care for…give her something more challenging so that she will strive harder. Should I take it as a compliment instead of punishment?

People around me have more children in their life, and they seem to be taking it easy. I used to envy them until I see their upbringing style, their children attitude and I understood now why it is harder on me to be a mother.

I can’t change the fact that this is who I am. I want to be a good mother who raises a good man, and the definition of a good man in my dictionary is far, far complicated than the normal standard version. This road that I am going through, this motherhood journey, is a one way trip, there’s no turning back. I can’t afford to make any silly mistake, laughing about it later or even worse cry over it.

If there is one thing that being a mother mean to me, it is a lifetime certification for me to be a wiser and bigger person, inside and out.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers out there!

Timmy Time!

without comments

Now that I have a toddler who watch TV, I tend to know more about shows that suit his viewing time rather than shows that suit my taste..huhu!

But then again, after all the conflict and drama in everyday life and the world overall, I feel that watching children shows are more refreshing. They keep things simpler and easier, with songs and happy feeling all around.

Those who enjoy Shaun The Sheep, you can check out Timmy Time.

In Playhouse Disney Channel (613) on Astro, the show is on every morning (or is it Monday – Friday?) around 9am, and another at 8pm. However around 5-6pm today I managed to watch a bit of the show..

This is the info about Timmy Time taken from abc.net.au:

Timmy is going to nursery!

Adorable he may be but Timmy is a little lamb with a lot to learn. He has just turned 3 (in sheep years) and being the only lamb in the flock, Timmy has been used to getting his own way. Now for the first time, Timmy is going to have to learn to get along with other little animals.

From the much loved ABC show ‘Shaun the Sheep’, little lamb Timmy stars in his own pre-school TV series. Timmy is Aardman’s first series for ABC for Kids and is specially created for boys, girls and animals.
