Badge For The Day
An expat friend forwarded an email today that has a lot of button badge images. Some are freaking slutty which is not suitable for my local, gentleman readers. You see, I’m a nice, proper lady so I don’t insult people with bitchy remarks..haha!
I don’t swear either because I hate swearing words, it’s just degrading and could do nothing to improve the already low self-esteem of the stupid people you swear to..haha!
Anyway, while waiting for my chicken stock to cool down in the pot (I’m making chicken rice today, so you can read it in my CintaRasa.com blog tomorrow..haha!), I just want to share this badge with you guys and girls.

It really says what I think about house cleaning. So for those cleaning freaks out there, don’t get insulted because I think there’s more in life than having a super-duper spic and span house. Oh, if you wonder how the term comes, quoting from Wikipedia:
Spic and Span is a major U.S. brand of all-purpose household cleanser, invented by a housewife named Elizabeth Mcdonald in Saginaw, Michigan around 1930.
Hope you’ll have your own brand of household cleanser one day!
Do You Need A Loan?
I’m sure everyone in their life has taken at least a loan one way or another, maybe a study loan, car loan or mortgage on house. Nowadays people even take personal loans to finance their wedding.

If you are a homeowner you have the chance to try for online secured loans.
A secured loan is a type of loan that secured against an asset, usually your house. It is suitable for people with bad credit rating but has a house. However this type of loan usually take longer to be processed because the lender needs to check the additional info such as the property value and proper documents to prove ownership. The plus point is as a borrower you could borrow higher amount based on the equity value of your home.
When it comes to comparing loans, you have to really study the market to see which lenders could provide better interest rates, repayment periods and other terms and condition. Don’t simply jump on and take the first choice that you have because taking a loan is a commitment and financial responsibility that you have to bear.
I know a friend who is planning to renovate her house. Maybe she could shop around for homeowner loans. This type of loan is an additional loan apart from the normal mortgage you pay for your house. The amount you could borrow will be based on the equity of you home but it is easier to obtain and take less time to be processed. The money could be used for home renovation, child education or any major purchase.
Personally I have no experience when it comes to homeowner loans and I’m not sure whether my local banks and lenders have any special type of loans like this. I do have personal experience when it comes to personal loans though so feel free to contact me if you want to know more. Maybe it’s time that I do my own local market research on other type of loans and let all my readers know about my findings. 🙂
A Certified Financial Planner?
I’m on my way towards that..haha! You don’t believe me? I just came back from attending the talk, hopefully within 2 months I will get my license to be a mutual fund consultant. I have been very interested to learn about all this mutual fund type of investment but couldn’t find the right source and time to get the right info.

While attending the Entrepreneur exhibition at Mid Valley last weekend, (one of our friends has to handle a career booth there), I made some brave move to go to the mutual fund booth and ask about it. So yesterday they call and ask me to go to their branch for the briefing. I have few friends who have been investing into all type of funds in this mutual fund investment and they said the ROI and dividend annually is very good compared to EPF. So I’m quite convinced to give it a try.
I will let you all know what else I learn from this course. The agency I’m going to sign up not only will train me for the exam to be a licensed consultant but they will even pay for me to be a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) if I have the right attitude and commitment.
Imagine being sponsored to study something that could generate more money into your life. That would be awesome, huh!
I Need A Dedicated Server!
For those who wonder why am I talking about server, data center, bla bla this time, for a start I’m not just a mere homemaker. I do know about a little bit of this and that when it comes to network, firewall and stuffs since I have a degree in Computer Engineering. It’s just that I choose to be a homemaker and run a SOHO business that has nothing to do with my qualification (in a way it has some connection since it’s Internet based business).
Since I have my own domain and hosting plan, I have been able to learn more about how this thing works. I hate when my hosting company send email stating that on this date my domain will be down because the company they colocate their servers will be having power outage. I noticed it has been like once a month now. Luckily I’m not running a time sensitive business or else I might as well colocate my own server at the data center.
For those of you who never heard or never seen how a data center looks like, check out this website of Data Center Raleigh.
For a start they have a tight security at the data center. So you wouldn’t have to worry that your $10k server will be stolen at night. When it comes to data center, the usual terms that you might heard will be security, safety, redundancy, reliability, scalability and technology. And Hosted Solutions is a state-of-the-art data center with top-notch security and fully redundant systems.
What I like about them is that they operate 4 Data Centers in 3 key markets, and all are interconnected by a fully redundant private network. So they can ensure 100% connectivity and 100% uptime for each and every client.
I hope they have excellent customer service because the only value that differentiate one business from another is their customer service quality. 🙂 I am sick of having to call the technical support or submit tickets to non-existence answers.
Quoted from their website,
“You’re guaranteed 24×7 local technical support and a real person to talk to. Tired of waiting on hold at your current web host? Talk immediately to Level 3 Engineers that often fix your problem on the phone.”
As if they are reading my mind, haha!
