A Homemaker’s Diary

For the next 2-3 months, there is a possibility that I will be on the move. So I won’t be tied to my SOHO chair and desktop all the time like now and I really think that I need to look around for cheap laptop to compensate for the lack of intimacy to my bulky desktop..huhu!

I don’t think I need any fancy and very powerful laptop. As long as I can write paid posts and check my emails I’ll be more than happy. Or maybe I will use the laptop to entertain myself watching movies or playing games while waiting for Hubby to come home.

What do you think of this Dell laptop? I think this one is Dell Inspiron. It is one of the cheap laptops in Dell range. Since I am a fan of Intel processor, I will go for Inspiron 6400 which has a retail price of £399 which includes VAT and shipping. I think the 60GB hard drive will be enough for my nomad life..heh!

Or if you are the person that love to download stuffs and save it into your hard drive, you should get an Inspiron 1501 since for the same price you will get 120GB of hard disk space (of course this one is not running on Intel processor but on AMD Sempron).

But if I could fork out an extra £200, I will get an Inspiron 1720 in Spring Green. Well, my Feng Shui reading said I should use more green in life to balance the fire in me..haha! Really, it doesn’t really matter what color it will be as long as it runs smoothly and I can get my tasks done as planned even when I am away from my home PC…wink!

I really need to find the right time to pass this frame to my friend. I finished this scrapbook style frame of her baby’s pictures more than a month ago (or was it 2) but couldn’t find the time to go and meet her in person. I used IKEA frame which I painted and did the crackle effect and the layout was done using most of the scrapbooking items I bought from eBay. I want to give this frame as a gift for her firstborn daughter and I really hope she’ll love it.

Worse come to worst maybe I’ll post this to her home address. Or perhaps if time permits, we could meet somewhere during this festive season..hehe!

There’s something very sleek and chic about this website which I am sure all stainless steel lovers in the world will drool over. From dining materials to work environment stuffs, it is all stainless steel.

How would you like to have your coffee served in a cup like this? This one Stainless Steel Thermo Coffee Cup goes for $31.85. I’m sure if you are running a restaurant, having all these different kind of cutleries and dining utensils will let your place be a different lot than others. I am yet to dine in a place where the utensils are all stainless steel..hehe!

And if you are not sure what to get for your boss’s birthday gift, check out the stainless steel items under work section, this paper puncher is really one of a kind. Great as present to that cold hearted boss of yours..heh! Don’t you feel that stainless steel reminds of such coldness and I don’t give a damn attitude, or is it just me? huhu!

Since I don’t have a restaurant and any boss that I reports to, maybe I’ll get myself a bottle carrier or kitchen paper holder instead. Next time you come into my kitchen, it will be gleaming with everything stainless steel..wink!

Found this on one of the blogs I read daily. Not sure how it goes, but since it is associated with PayPerPost, I just give it a try.

It’s a blog directory, so since it is still new and fresh, it does not hurt to submit this blog to the directory. Who knows being among the first few thousands would help make my blog more well-known in the cyberspace..heh!

Have you you seen personal checks with unique design rather than the usual checks that being given by the local bank when you open a checking account?

In Malaysia it is rare that people use checks to pay for retail purchase, it is either cash or credit cards. I for example only use my personal checks to pay bills and loans to other financial institutions because it saves time and ensure that the bills are paid on time.

I think it would be cool to be able to design my own personal checks. Using the template at Vistaprint.com, it is so easy to put a monogram or any icon on the checks. It will look so much like my very “me” personality to be able to hand out such unique design every time I sign one..heh!

Or if you are running a business and would like to have one-of-a-kind design of business checks, check out the templates they have over there. Or if you don’t really like their template design, you can upload your own design anytime.

You just add your content to be printed on the check, place the order and it will be sent to you as easy as that for some affordable shipping fee. For $4.99 you will get 25 pieces of the checks or if you think your business need more, go for 600 checks since it will only cost $39.96 for printing.

So what do you think of my leopard skin design? And check out the monogram M which I choose for the checks design, so cool, huh!
