More Bunga Songket Creations

with 7 comments

These bunga songket VIP guest favor and corsage was crafted in July and I haven’t had the chance to share them with all the readers.

Since I will be coming out with a few more new ideas (which will be collected by the commissioner this Thursday), I thought it’s about time that I upload these pictures. (At least before the magazine Ratu Sehari do their product shooting this week, which I’m not sure which one will they choose to include in their next volume)

This one is meant to be a substitute for the normal bunga pahar for the main table. Perhaps if you think the idea of boiled egg is too conventional, you can put Ferrero Rocher or even Patchi chocolate inside that round golden egg.

Still on the same color theme, I made this corsage to be worn by the VIP guests or for the clans of the bride during the wedding reception. Maybe if you want it to be exclusive, you can let just the father and the mother of the bride wear this corsage.

Well, that’s it for now. I still have about 15 bunga songket creations to come out with by Thursday morning..huhu! I wonder where else will I get fresh ideas..heh!

Need A Virtual Office?

without comments

*This post is written for businessuites.com*

As a business owner I realize that it is not easy to get a Commercial Office Space, especially when you are low on the capital and could not afford to pay for the overhead cost of maintaining an expensive, upscale office. Therefore there is another solution that you could go for – a virtual office or executive suites.

If you are in the US, you can look for such solution from company like BusinesSuites. They have office space in Austin, Baltimore, Columbia, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Newport News, Owings Mills, and Richmond. If your business needs an upscale, flexible office space or virtual offices, you can have that at any of the BusinesSuites centers around the country.

For virtual office, they have what they call as BusinesSuites’ Virtual Office programs. You will be provided with everything from a local business address and mail receipt and delivery to a local telephone number and reception services with 24/7 voice mail. For their office space solution, you can even hire help by having their professional administrative support services on a smart “pay-per-use” basis.

In a way, you have a great, impressive office that your clients can walk in but don’t have the commitment to maintain it like a normal office. Therefore you would be able to run your business anywhere, anytime with less headache to bear.

We Will Not Be Moving!

without comments

Sometimes just as we thought we plan it all, nature has a good way to prove that our decision could be wrong.

I can tell you that I am so relieved that we won’t be moving to JB and Hubby has decided not to take the Singapore job. The KL job is still waiting for answer and by tomorrow Hubby will decide whether to take that job or not.

In the meantime, I will be going along with my business plan for this year. I really hate the idea of commuting to work especially in the middle of KL so I guess I know why Hubby is still hesitate to take the KL job.

Hopefully his previous boss will be happy to reconsider his offer which Hubby has turned down 1-2 months ago. Working in Cyberjaya will be a lot less hassle and traffic-jammed free if you consider our home’s location, a mere 10 minutes drive to and fro. Plus I would get to use the car since I can always send and fetch Hubby from work (if the office is in Cyberjaya).

I pray that his cranky old boss is not so crazy this week..hehe! That poor man (he’s not poor, he’s a millionaire with crazy head..) must be having tough time adjusting with the new baby boy in his life.

Blinds For Simplicity

Since I will be having another house (apartment?) to maintain in the next 2-3 months, I’m thinking of using Vertical Blinds for the window and sliding door. Perhaps this choice would help eliminate clutter problem and later laundry problem for the new place where Hubby will be staying alone most of the time..heh!

I like the designs they have at SelectBlinds.com. For those who still like the fabric texture, you can opt for Fabric Vertical Blinds as shown in the above picture. Certainly this type of blinds will create such a luxurious yet simple ambiance in your bedroom just like in a hotel room.

For those who like to have a contemporary style in the living room, you can opt for something like this Premium Smooth Vertical Blinds. These discounted vertical blinds are available in one-way draw, split draw, center stack or opposite stack configurations so you won’t be restricted to one style in designing your living hall and bedroom.

Come to think of it, maybe I should have these blinds for my current home and let Hubby uses the old curtains for his bachelor pad. After all, I am the one who will be at home most of the time, so it should be me that get to enjoy the new cozy environment these blinds are going to create..wink!

We Are Moving!!

with 3 comments

I need to tell something, especially for someone who has been wondering what is really bothering my mind for the past few weeks. The story is like this. Hubby has been jobless since 1st September. And I have been worried sick (am still worry) about our financial situation. However with all the effort and hard work and sacrifice, I think we can manage for now.

And last week, on Friday, Hubby got 2 job offers, one in Malaysia and another one in Singapore. In a way, it should not be a tough decision to choose which job to take but after the initial experience with the previous company, we should be more cautious this time.

90% possibility that Hubby will go for the Singapore job (which starts early Oct) and he has to relocate himself to Johor Bahru and commute everyday to Singapore. First we thought we should find a place in Singapore but after calculating the rental there (and the currency conversion), we might as well buy a bungalow here..huhu!

So now, should I pack my things and the whole house and move to JB with Hubby? Or should I stay here and we become a long distance couple, only meeting every 2 weeks. And we haven’t found the place in JB yet. I think my mind will be thinking so much about a lot of things for the next couple of days until we sort everything out…huhu!
