A Homemaker’s Diary

A Better Today

with one comment

A friend of mine came over to collect her bunga songket and as we chatted about our mundane life and business aspiration this year, I can’t help to smile to think that I am not alone, feeling blue and helpless this year..heh!

Sometimes what we are looking for is not an instant solution for the problem we think we have, but a shared understanding that we are not alone fighting the feeling. As with me and my friend, we agree that we have to find something more challenging to look forward this year, maybe a bigger chance to broaden the business network, or try something totally new in our craft business – like doing craft class and demo for foreigners, join exhibition, sell the products to overseas market.

In the mean time I think I have enough on my plate to keep me busy until the end of this month, with bunga pahar orders, craft classes and all. This yellow calla lily is due for collection on 27th January and another bunch of bunga dip for February. I shouldn’t feel bored with what I’m doing, it might be routine tasks (after 3 years it’s no longer challenging) but still it’s something worth doing and people are willing to pay for it.

Jewel – Foolish Games

without comments

Well in case you failed to notice, in case you failed to see
This is my heart bleeding before you, this is me down on my knees
These foolish games are tearing me apart
Your thoughtless words are breaking my heart
You’re breaking my heart

Somehow I was reminded of this song, I know must be that down the memory lane nostalgic kind of feeling. It’s like 10 years ago when I was a young adult starting life in college. Life at that time must have been like the agony and the anger you can hear from the song, trying to be you, trying to fit in around, trying to find love and get hurt in the process.

A Positive Vibe To Start 2008

with 2 comments

“The world breaks everyone, and afterward many are strong at the broken places” – Ernest Hemingway

Despite the fact that I ended 2007 with fever and very bad PMS..huhu..yes, I’m over the melancholy mood, nothing beats a few good cries about nothing that important, I guess I should restart the year 2008 with a more positive note to myself.

Even though over the year nothing much shines on me in terms of achievement, business wise or personal life – well, not that it’s a major disappointment but for me all is well, not that very outstanding that should be engraved in my Guinness world of records sort of things, heh! Still I am happy to say that with what I’ve gone through I’m proud and amazed on how strong I endured it all.

It would be difficult without having those around you who love and support you all year through. To Hubby, to all the friends, I thank you all for being around, listening, understanding and encouraging especially during the gloomy and hard time.

May 2008 will bring more courage, endless strength and continuous love and support. We can only hope for the best after we have put our best effort. To the best of 2008 to come!

Happy New Year 2008

with one comment

For those who wonder what I’ve been up to, well, since Hubby fell terribly sick with fever, cough and cold since Thursday so there is no such thing as new year celebration and whatnot. To make the matter worse I got the bug later and I spend the whole weekend at home nursing my health back to normal.

It started on Saturday afternoon and by night I was really, really sick. Went to see the doctor and she said my temperature was high. By night I felt really, really weak and decided to contact all the students who supposed to come for Sunday class and let them know that I was not up to conduct the class. Now I have to rearrange everything as some of them could not make it for the replacement date I proposed..huhu!

Well, I know it’s really a hassle for everybody but I for once didn’t like the fact that I fall sick like this.

I hope I will be well and have healthy life throughout 2008. And I still have fever at night that make it hard to fall asleep soundly..huhu! I miss my sleep.

Ketulusan Hati – Anuar Zain

with 6 comments

“mencintaimu tak mengenal waktu
tak mengenal puitis
hanya tulusnya hati
mencintaimu tak mengenal ragu
keyakinan hatiku hanya untuk dirimu selalu…”

Heard this on radio while driving to Mc Donalds to buy Prosperity set for Hubby who was at home having fever. I should have bought Anuar Zain’s new album, very mushy and sentimental…heh! I wish someone would share the original video clips of his new songs on YouTube, I thought this would do for now since it has the lyrics for those who like to sing along.
