A Homemaker’s Diary

What Do You Want In Life?

with one comment

I’ve done very minimal productive activities today apart from cooking soto ayam for dinner and supper (Hubby is working UK shift eventhough it’s Thaipusam so that another guy who is Indian could go on leave). But if I do count the buang sampah task and siram pokok while waiting for Hubby to come back for dinner, could be considered quite productive la kan..hehe!

What I did today is mostly reading blogs, my ex schoolmates’ who are currently doing PhD abroad. What does it make me feel? Somehow it struck me that maybe if I take something else, not engineering degree (which I have very little interest in) I would be able to continue my study as well, but then again for what reason I would want to further to master or PhD level? I know even now I could further my study (but self-sponsored of course) but is that what I want in life? What could another certificate make differences to my life – better prospect in career (I work from home anyway..heh), extra money, self satisfaction?

I guess if I ever further studies in the future it would be merely for my self satisfaction – to prove that I am capable of taking another challenge in life. A friend told me that perhaps I should try getting pregnant and have baby because I complained that my life lack excitement and new things to be tried..haha! I’m considering that as well since it might open up a new whole world for me to venture.

In the end, I conclude that it doesn’t matter what others are doing, what matters is to know what you really want in life and you should go where your heart leads you to. I’m still contemplating on what I want in my life this year, deeply thinking!

Another Week Goes By

without comments

The weekend went by as usual with craft class on Sunday and short outing on Saturday to get some stuff for my craft class (which failed as the stock will not be in until early Feb and the decorative painting seller did not open her painting booth at the Subang Parade flea market..huhu) Despite that I managed to get another 5kg of Vesawit cooking oil at Carrefour Subang. Now I don’t have to worry to fry ikan cencaru sumbat and all..heh!

SIL came to our house on Saturday evening to send the keropok and pencicah I asked her to buy on her way back to East Coast. Since she told us last minute that she was coming, I didn’t have the chance to cook anything for her. Luckily we just came back from pasar malam in Bangi so there was still something to eat together while chatting.

On Sunday the bunga dip class went smoothly with 4 students. After that I cooked nasi lemak sambal sotong kering as per Hubby’s request. We decided to stay at home since we didn’t have any particular things to do outside. I think we are really getting old as going out to shopping mall no longer excites me..huhu!

On Monday Hubby took leave and went for medical check up in SJMC. He was worried that sometimes he feels not well so as precaution we might as well check whether there’s anything that we should be worried about. So we left home around 8am and reached SJMC at 9:30am. Never realized that morning traffic could be so jammed as everybody is rushing to go to work. The whole process of the medical check up was not very long and as I was checking the promotion they have, I think I will go for the Women Screening Package which starts from RM90. I never get Pap Smear done so it would be a great idea to get my health screened.

After that we had lunch in Sunway Pyramid and bought more magazines and books at MPH. I was so tired after reaching home that I took a nap for one hour. After that I went outside at my lawn to take pictures for my gardening blog. See the picture of my red rose, I like it when it is not blooming in full.

I decided to cook dinner since I was not fully satisfied eating at TGIF..huhu..nampak sgt perut melayu..haha! Nothing can beat a good home cooked food. Well, that goes the week with Hubby around and now I’m at home thinking what’s next to be done.

The Cinderella At Home

with 3 comments

I am the Cinderella in the house for today, not the one in ball gown and horse carriage, but rather the one with the mop, broom and toilet disinfectant..huhu!

First I clear off the sink from last night dirty plates and frying pans. My all time favorite would be Sunlight Lime (the dark green one) for the dish washer. No, I don’t have the auto dish washer, I wash them manually using my two bare hands..heh! I tried the one with cucumber (Hubby said it’s good for hands) but those dish washing liquid failed to clear up all the oily mess.

Luckily my share of dirty laundry is not piling up so I decided to save my Dynamo and Softlan Ultra for another day of washing task. A reminder to myself, need to buy Dynamo on the next trip to Jusco.

The biggest achievement for me today would be the mopping of my kitchen floor and the stairs..I really hate mopping (at last, I have been planning to mop them for like 3 months..huhu!) I think I only mop like 2-4 times a year..haha! I use Ajax Fabuloso and I love the smell. Due to my lack of maintenance to the kitchen floor, I have to sweep it twice and mop twice..huhu! Perhaps I will be more diligent to mop the kitchen floor once a week from now onwards…(you bet!)

After dinner I decided to brush the toilet and the bathroom floor in our master bedroom. Thanks to Kiwi Kleen and the fact that Hubby has cleaned the bathroom about 1 month ago, it was a breeze. No hard to remove stain unlike my kitchen floor.

So Cinderella task is complete for the week and she will be on leave from Friday to Sunday..heh!

Pay-Per-Play

with 2 comments

*This post is written for NetAudioAds Pay-Per-Play*

For those who have blogs, this is the chance for you to earn money from those visitors who come to read your blog or website. Check out this Net Audio Ads link as you can earn more money without getting additional visitors to your website. Plus you don’t need them to click anything to get the money.

This NetAudioAds Pay-Per-Play (PPP) advertising works on a bid management system similar to Google AdWords and will compensate publishers just like Google AdSense but with one critical difference – the website (blog) owners will earn revenue on 100% of their traffic.

What you do is simply paste a small piece of Javascript code to every page of your website that you want your visitors to hear a brief 5 second audio advertisement.

The best part is each visitor will hear only 1 ad and each time an ad is played, you are paid. It’s like your blog is now a billboard with audio advertisement that caters to specific interests, demographics and geographic locations.

Those advertisers (some are big one like Harley Davidson or Taco Bell) will use your blog or website to place their 5 second audio ad and in return you will get paid. They used to advertise on TV and other commercial platforms but now with the Internet revolution, the market is bigger and better (and I guess must be way cheaper) and yet very effective.

What an easy way to earn easy money from your blog, huh! Better than some pyramid scheme or credit card fraud. As long as it’s legal money, nobody could sue you for trying, right! After all it’s your blog, when you can earn some why not go for it.
