A Homemaker’s Diary

Out Of Cooking Gas..

without comments

Blame it on this bergedil picture, found in one of my picture folders…huhu..Actually I was looking for a picture of me and then I found this picture of soto set I made in January.

So when Hubby came home, I took the car and went to Jusco to get daging burger, potato and nasi impit Adabi. I was cooking while watching CSI and Ghost Whisperer when suddenly I realized the cooking gas was out at 12am ++…waaaaa…where to buy gas at that time..even 7E don’t have gas stock..so in the end I resorted to fry the bergedil and chicken pieces in the ever so slow old rice cooker…if only I have deep fryer..huhu!

With all the trouble that I had to go through, we managed to eat the soto at 2:30am. Hubby decided to work from home today since I woke up at 7am, rushing to the toilet because of terrible diarhea..must be the combination of too much 100 Plus and sambal kicap or whatever I ate all day yesterday..huhu!

I still don’t have the cooking gas but Hubby already had his lunch by reheating his bowl of soto in the microwave. With the diarhea incident, I supposed I wouldn’t be able to eat the soto for the second round..sob! sob!

The Typical Monday

with 3 comments

I’ve been meaning to update this blog on Monday afternoon but I was busy chatting and doing laundry. Later I was in the kitchen cooking dinner – masak lemak kobis, goreng cencaru, ayam masak lemak cili padi. Then while watching House I spring clean the bedroom. Have been planning to do that for ages, with all the habuk under the bed..yuckss..so I swept and vacuumed and then once done I took shower and have my dessert of agar-agar merah..heh!

So now since Astro is out because of the rain (I was watching THS – Nicole Kidman), I think I might as well update this blog. After all you might never know when the opps in PPP will give the chance to earn extra USD11-15 so I might as well prepare the interim post..

We went to watch Zohan on Sunday, not that I am a big fan of Adam Sandler but I think he looks better with that old fashion Paul Mitchell’s Avalon hairstyle. It makes me wonder though what is his real hair looks like? Is it curly?

Forget about Adam Sandler, let’s see what is the plan for this week. I need to schedule appointment for check up this Friday, then if the time permits, I want to renew the license for the IT company. Have to check with SSM website if they allow renewal to be done in the post office otherwise it will be a hassle to go to Shah Alam to renew the license…huhu!

Then on weekend we have plan for more stroller, playpen and baby cot window shopping. I am like 80% towards buying Maclaren Techno XT but since Hubby said Graco has better review, we might as well go and check it ourselves.

Apart from that I am still not sure whether to get IKEA baby cot or the less expensive one from Sweet Cherry…(found one sample in Jusco and I kind of like the white cot) Even if we are not buying it now, at least after Hari Raya I already have what to buy in the list.

That’s all for Monday update…another week to go before we start fasting..eat people, eat..heh!

Website For Your Home Based Biz?

without comments

These days more and more of my female friends are interested with the idea of setting up home based business and would like to have Internet presence. The idea of having their own business website makes the topic of finding which web hosting services become our popular conversation.

Since not all of those friends are technical savvy, I suggest that they get more in depth by reading articles like Tips For Choosing A Domain, Linux Hosting: The Perfect Solution For Your Small Business and What You Need With Cheap Hosting.

Of course there is no ultimate solution for their search for the best web hosting company, as in the end, it comes down to their needs, usage and preferences and not to forget their budget, but at least they will have the basic ideas on what to look for before they invest more time, energy and resources into the new venture of home based business.

The Not Busy Weekend

without comments

This is the first weekend that I am not busy or have any plan to go out, reason being Hubby has to be on stand by for the company’s release for both Saturday and Sunday..huhu…

But I think I won’t mind because I have no particular thing to buy or look for. I have enough books and magazines to keep me occupied these two days, even few more haven’t seen DVD..heh!

Oh, I watched The Other Boleyn Girl last night, and then Indiana Jones and 27 Dresses..thanks to the cikai Philips DVD player, we managed to watch all those pirated DVDs..my LG player refused to play those DVDs..sekarang sudah turun taraf, put it with the TV in the living hall..heh!

Anyway, I still have to clean the leftover of my previous bunga telur project..adeihhh..malasnya..I rather cook the whole pot of rendang ayam than to clean up the mess, vacuum the carpet, mop the floor etc..maybe I should call the parttimemaid website and check whether they have service to my area..

Planning Your Next Vacation?

without comments

While browsing for nothing in particular the other night, I found this good website that offers online travel guides to places like Boston, Las Vegas, Orlando, Los Angeles and many more.

It reminds me of the time Hubby went to Boston but didn’t go on the Boston tours his friends were recommending about. Being alone on a trip is certainly no fun so he ended up just going on a trip to MIT and Chinatown, having a bowl of laksa at one of the Malaysian restaurants there..huhu..pity Hubby! I guess if I was with him, we will surely take that Old Town Trolley tour.

Nevertheless Hubby said he had good time there, not to mention the experience of knocking a cup of hot coffee on the woman who sat beside him on the flight from Boston to Los Angeles. Blame that on his lack of sleep and jetlag..I hope the lady won’t find the whole journey very annoying. Oh, no major damage done there, anyway!

I can only hope next year or next, next year we will have the chance to go to Boston for Hubby’s technical training and short vacation. With a child around, I’m sure the experience will be fascinating to remember.

If you are somehow happen to be in Orlando, perhaps you can consider visiting this Cypress Gardens Florida. For gardening enthusiast, being in one of the most famous gardens in the world would certainly add the perk to your day 🙂 And for your kids, there are 40 rides for children of all ages including 5 coasters and the world’s tallest spinning rapids ride. I’m sure Hubby wouldn’t agree to the thrilling riding ideas though..huhu!

So if you are planning on next vacation but still not sure where to and what to do, sign up for TrustedTours newsletter and you are on your way to win a $150 Magellan’s Gift Certificate.
