On Weekend Break..
OK, the trainee journalist and the magazine photographer did come on time on Friday..surprisingly as most people don’t usually keep their promise on time. I have prepared a few more new bunga telur the day and night before so I was pretty sure they will have ample choice for the wedding issue (oh, you can buy it – magazine Wanita November edition, will come out middle October)
As the photographer was not fully informed by the trainee, he didn’t bring any of the mini studio equipment, (I was hoping to see a light box or a light tent) so in the end he has to use what I have instead, my DIY product photography studio which consists of a piece of black velvet cloth and a few boxes..heh..
Around 12pm they went back and I decided to take a nap. But then I was thinking maybe I should go to deposit the syiling and change duit raya at the nearby Maybank. So off I went to Maybank..aisey the officer in charge of counting small change was out for lunch and the bank only allows to tukar duit raya next Monday..huhu! So my plan to settle the money matters has to be done next Monday.
Anyway, on Thursday evening we went for break fasting with Hubby’s colleagues in Kelab Komuniti Cyberjaya coffee house. The food was OK considering the buffet price. I will update more in CintaRasa.com later..
Today Hubby has to be in the office from 3pm till the release is completed. So I cooked some simple dishes, bought some kuih muih at Pasar Ramadhan and brought everything to the office to berbuka with another few Malays in charged. Boleh la buat2 berbuka puasa beramai-ramai kan..
So here I am, doing nothing after the break fasting watching Majalah 3..(I have a lot of dirty pots and pans in the kitchen sink, but that can wait tomorrow..heh!) Now, what should I do while waiting to go and fetch Hubby from his office..huhu!
Bunga Telur For Magazine Shooting
I received a phone call from a journalist from majalah Wanita asking whether I will be OK with photo shooting. No, they are not going to shoot story about me, they just need to take around 10 pictures of my bunga telur creations for their upcoming isu perkahwinan.
So since I have not done any latest design of bunga telur, I decided to do some last night. Just in case whatever in the collection is too berabuk (like Hubby said) or not up to their standard. After all I owe it to the magazine buyers to see what else Bungatelur.com could come out with rather than what I already uploaded on my website.
My friend from Bibah Songket insisted that I made a few bunga telur from her songket leftovers..ye la ye la nanti aku buat…hehe..but if I do the same design nanti look like the one we sent for Ratu Sehari magazine photo shoot pulak..adeih…I am trying to utilize whatever materials I have in possession now and with all this new bunga telur making, I have to mess up my living hall again..huhu!
Those magazine people are coming this Friday morning and now I think I really want the Indian grass cutter to come knocking at my gate..all the lalang in the lawn are as tall as the gate..time nak potong rumput ni tak de la pulak sapa2 lalu..time tak nak tu ada je yg dok ketuk2..
Will update more once the magazine photo shooting is done! Till then, I have to get back to all the messy stuffs..huh!
We Finally Bought Them!
We went for Ramadhan buffet at Sunway Resort Hotel yesterday and after the meal, decided to have a look at what Jusco Sunway have in store.
They have quite a range of Graco products- from stroller, car seat and playpen. The Mosaic stroller was on 10% discount so I was like take the Mirage + travel system or Mosaic..because of the vast price difference between the two made me have the second thought. But after looking at the comfortable cocooning seat pad that the Mosaic Travel system has, I decided to go for that instead of Mirage +

After all we might be using that stroller for the next 3 years so it’s only fair that we bought something that we won’t regret later.
So here are the pictures of the red Mosaic stroller and the infant car seat Logico S that goes together with it.

Later when the child grows bigger, we will have to change the car seat into Logico M or Logico L and save the Logico S for the coming baby brother/sister or simply sell it as second hand.
We also bought the Graco Safari playpen. Of course I would love to have a playpen with the same color like Contour Electra but since we will buy a permanent baby cot to be put upstairs, I think this playpen will do for now.

Next thing to buy, baby cot. Oh, I love shopping..hehe!
Books, Magazines & Papers Everywhere..
On average I buy like 3-4 magazines every month, book about 1-2 and papers (pamphlets, catalogs) that I collect throughout the years, would be enough to fire up the house..heh! Now that we are moving from the current house to our permanent residence (hopefully), I have to think on what to do with all those reading materials. And don’t mention about the craft materials I have, Hubby couldn’t even figure out how to pack all of them since everything is all mixed up – different colors, assorted items, different projects.
Since Hari Raya is coming soon, I have to do something with all the reading materials in my living hall. It seems to be everywhere, on the sofa, beside the sofa, on the coffee table(s) and it’s growing fast as I keep on buying more to fill up my leisure, no-project time. Not that I care about their constant appearance but I’m afraid if I don’t do something to keep them away, whoever coming to my house during Hari Raya won’t have place to sit.
How do people with a lot of books and magazines sort out their items and organize them properly? Even the bookshelves upstairs seem to be overloaded with my books and magazine collections. Don’t suggest to me to sell them to surat kabar lama..certain magazines like Pesona Pengantin, women magazines (Rasa, Keluarga, Mingguan Wanita, Jelita, Wanita, Women’s Weekly) with recipes are my constant references. And for craft related esp. scrapbooking, I refer to magazines like Scrapbooks ETC., Memory Makers and many more that I manage to get my hands on.
If only I have more rooms to be converted to a library cum junkyard, it will be a haven. Next time you come looking for me, if I’m missing, find me under the books and magazines..heh!
The Mixer, Cornflake Madu & More Raya Cookies
Finally when I was almost give up waiting for the courier for the mixer, it came at 4:30pm..it’s been raining all day and perhaps they have problem finding this housing area. Now with the mixer, I can make the task of baking the cheese cake for SIL easier..(no more creaming the cheese using senduk kayu)..heh!
Since I am in the mood for some baking work, after watching the series on StarWorld I did the cornflake madu. Not bad because one time of 3 baking sessions I managed to make like 70++ (not counting the testing and few more that Hubby ate while waiting for me to finish the baking session..heh) Enough to fill up the raya cookies jar I hope. I don’t think I will do any more cookies since I already ordered 4 types, plus rempeyek and few more promo packs that I want to eat before Raya.
On another note, I think starting from next week I will cook for break fast. I am sick of the food bought at Pasar Ramadhan especially the weird taste of the lauk pauk. Maybe we will just buy the food every now and then (on days that I feel really tired) and those kuih muih, but for the main dish for berbuka, I will just cook the usual dish we used to have during non fasting month. So this weekend a trip for groceries shopping will be a must..heh!
