Baby Cot For Sale (SOLD)

with 2 comments

This baby cot was bought at First Few Years, The Curve in 2008 for about RM700. The cot comes together with fibre mattress and a piece of free bedsheet.

The baby cot was used for sleeping only during the first few weeks of confinement. Since my son nursed all day (and night) long, I decided to sleep with him on the queen size bed, or otherwise I will go haywire with lack of sleep and might get postpartum depression…(yes, seriously no joke!!)

Ever since then, the baby cot has been used to put baby clothes on it, thus why you see the picture with one of the railing removed.

(Please click on the images to view bigger size)

The fibre mattress is very firm. The baby cot should last for many years as it is designed to be converted into a single bed later. You can change the height of the cot to 11cm, 28cm and 43 cm from the floor. The size of the cot is width 75 cm x length 138cm. It doesn’t come with wheels.

The mattress is very clean, no stain or marks.

Both of the rails are equipped with teething cover which will be good if your child wants to stay in the cot for a longer time. Usually when the baby is teething, he/she will love to bite on hard materials especially plastic or wood. The teething covers will protects your baby from cracks, splinters and peeling and even protects the wooden rail finish.

Here is the close up picture of the teething cover on the rail. The rail which we have removed can be adjusted up and down for safety purpose and easy access to your baby.

Oh, since the cot can be converted into a single bed later, here is another rail that comes with it.

I’m selling this for RM400, the price is valid for COD area Puchong/Seri Kembangan/Putrajaya/Cyberjaya or self-pick up. Please leave comment if you are interested to buy.

What’s Up December?

with one comment

It’s been a while since my last update.

I am drowned in daily life routine. I have a lot to share but seems to be lacking in term of time and energy.

We managed to go to MAHA to let the little one see cows, sheep and goats in real life. We brought him to Rabbit park in Berjaya Hill as part of his birthday celebration. We let him feed the swans in the lake at Colmar Tropicale.

Other than that, the usual toy shopping, new clothing to fit a bigger boy. Outings with him are much better now that he can run on his own and enjoy food. Still the attention span is not long enough as he gets bored quite fast, but we found out that if he has a toy to play with, we can at least eat our meal peacefully. For once, we were able to have a decent time at the restaurant without having to take turn to eat.

I know things are getting better and can foresee that parenthood won’t be such a great burden anymore as our dear son is getting wiser. But I am still not interested (or rather feel repulsed) with the idea of having another child. Why should I when having one is more than enough? Unless you can afford at least 30K per year to pay for first degree tuition fees in a local private U, the idea of having more children just for the sake of procreating is just too absurd and stupid.

The 2011 Vacation

without comments

I know, it’s not even December, but hey, what’s wrong with having an early vacation planning now, right? Ever since we have a child, traveling is no longer fun..oh, even pre-baby years, I was never fond of traveling. It is tiring and sometimes being caught in the traffic or get stuck at the airport make it all worse.

Do you know what kind of vacation you love? Is it adventure, urban, scenic or beach vacation? I know that I am not an adventurous type. The idea of going for a hike, cross country ski, white water rafting, camping with no electricity are certainly not in the list when anyone mentions vacation to me.

I usually will seek out travel advice online because I need to prepare myself mentally whenever we want to go on vacation. I need to know what’s the hotel will be like, where will I get my lunch, dinner, supper, will there be any place for me to do some shopping, you know things like that.

Now that I have a child, I need a stronger mental preparation. I need to look out for ways to entertain my son while enduring the long hour of the trip. I have to know whether the kid-friendly environment as mentioned in the hotel website is up to my standard of expectation. And most important fact of all, will we enjoy the vacation as family.

I hope doing the vacation planning homework earlier will not disappoint me, hopefully it will be helpful. After all I really need next year vacation trip to refresh my mind and soul.
