Arokaya House – Thai Traditional Massage
It’s been a while since I last go for foot reflexology. I think the last time was before I was pregnant (which means about 3 years ago..huhu!) So last weekend since Hubby finished his session of 90 minute Thai Traditional Massage (it was his first time), I decided to try Arokaya foot reflexology for 30 minutes.
The price excluded the 6% government tax is RM35.
Arokaya House in Sunway Pyramid is located in the Marrakesh area. It has been renovated last year. The place inside is quite spacious and not dinky at all. If you are scared that this Thai massage house runs an illegal “massage” activities (especially if you are sending your spouse for the first time..haha!), you can always opt for men masseurs. Their women masseurs are not some sexy chicks either, mostly are old Thai ladies who can hardly speak English.
I didn’t get the chance to take any picture inside as I was rushing (my son was bailing his eyes out seeing Mama was being taken away..huhu!)
It felt so good to be pampered that way after doing all the hard work taking care of the little one for 90 minutes while waiting for Hubby to finish up his session.
For those who are interested to go for massage or foot reflexology, you can make your appointment by calling their number here:

Bunga Dip For Hantaran/Bunga Telur
I noticed that many of the traffic that came to my blog searching about bunga telur and bunga dip for hantaran.
I no longer accept custom made order for bunga telur or hantaran. What I can afford to do for now is teaching people on how to make them for minimal fees. The class for bunga dip is usually conducted once a month for 3 hours. It is a basic class especially for people with no experience making all these bunga telur/bunga pahar and bunga dulang for hantaran.

The best part of making your own bunga dip for wedding or engagement is the selection of colors. If you go to shops selling bunga dip materials like Kedai Bunga Reben and Sayang You in Jalan TAR, you will be amazed to see the varieties of colors they have. I think some of the favorite wedding/engagement theme colors are pink, purple and blue. Lately people are more daring to go for black/red or black silver combination which I personally don’t fancy so much..huhu!

Anyway, if you have more budget, you can spend more on ribbons and other embellishments. Some of the classy ribbon can go up to RM25 per spool. The above two pictures are the examples of what the class participants managed to make during the 3-hour class.
Gardenia In The Garden
It’s been a while since I do any pictorial update on this blog..haha! Well, not to count all other entries selling the second hand toys and baby stuffs of course..I have been busy with my other blogs that need to be updated that I kind of lost my mojo to update homemakerdiary.
Anyway, for the past few days, the gardenia plant (aka cape jasmine) I have in my garden has been flowering. Malays call this as bunga cina. In fact it has bloomed the week before but I was not able to take any picture. And once it has bloomed fully the flower was not very picture-worthy.

Here is the picture of a half full bloomed gardenia or its scientific name Gardenia jasminoides, the best in its flowering phase, in my personal opinion. Usually it doesn’t last very long, maybe 2-3 days. It will turn yellow once it has bloomed fully and then wither.
The Trip To Zoo Negara
We have been planning to take our son to see real animals at Zoo Negara since last year. However due to his sleeping time, we couldn’t make it.
Somehow during the last CNY long weekend, he woke up early around 1pm and we quickly got ready to go to the zoo..phewww..we managed to reach Zoo Negara around 3pm.
With only 2 hours to spare before the closing time, we walked around the zoo to see elephants, giraffes, lions and tigers.

We were not able to see zebra since we were running out of time. The lack of direction inside the zoo plus the hot weather were among the reasons that made me pissed off..huhu! Not to mention that I have to carry my son most of the time..isk!
Even the queue to ride the tram was very long, of course the ticket was not included in the RM20 entrance fee per person (adult rate) we paid to enter the zoo, you have to pay another RM3 per person to ride the tram.
In the end, we decided to walk to get to those animals rather than wasting at least 30 minutes waiting for the tram ride.
It was a disappointing experience for me but I think our son did enjoy watching those animals which he has been reading in the books. I hope we will be able to visit Singapore Zoo soon.
Year of Rabbit 2011
It’s the celebration time for Lunar Year! Happy Chinese New Year to those celebrating.
Here is something fun to share, the general prediction of this 2011 year of rabbit:
Taken from chiff.com.
The year of the Rabbit is traditionally associated with home and family, artistic pursuits, diplomacy, and keeping the peace. Therefore, 2011 is very likely to be a relatively calmer one than 2010 both on the world scene, as well as on a personal level.
Conversely, nations will also become more insular and increasingly lock down their borders to protect against the “other”. However, 2011 will also see new art movements projecting a distinct national identity taking the world by storm. Shrewd and creative new business partnerships will also form to the benefit of all.
Rabbits who thrive on delicate business dealings are best suited to navigating the year ahead. Those compatible with the Rabbit — the Sheep, Dog and Pig in particular — will also find 2011’s circumstances inspiring them to greater personal happiness and professional success.
Others will suffer, by degree, depending on how flexible they are to the world mood. Those who have cultivated careful negotiation skills (or, perhaps more importantly, can sniff-out and swiftly dodge dangerous situations!), may attain similar good luck enjoyed by rabbits and those compatible with them in 2011.
