A House Is Not A Home

without comments

soho1.jpg

A chair is still a chair, even when there’s no one sittin’ there
But a chair is not a house and a house is not a home
When there’s no one there to hold you tight
And no one there you can kiss goodnight

A room is a still a room, even when there’s nothin’ there but gloom
But a room is not a house and a house is not a home
When the two of us are far apart
And one of us has a broken heart

I’m Torn

tw9_gallery.jpg

I hate to make choices in life. But hey! You can’t avoid it, can you? So I’m torn between these 2 choices of graphic designers.

This is what happened when you browse The Whole 9 portfolio gallery. If you are artists, photographers, writers, designers, directors, architects, actors, producers, models, chefs, or any other creative professionals, head to The Whole 9 and you’ll understand what I mean.

There you will be able to build a portfolio in minutes and let the whole world see how great your talent and work of arts are.

I would love to share with you readers the pictures, but I don’t want to intrude into the copyright of the artists.

After all most artists guard their work with extreme care so if you want to see what I like the most check the portfolio of Ayesha Mathews here. I know smoking is bad for health, but I think I like the design of the cigarette box.

If I have the budget I would love to hire her to design my crafts catalogs.

But there is one more design I like, check the Greta Design. I think I can relate with the gold fish which jumps into another glass of water to follow the instinct. You have to see the design to understand it deeper.

I just love how designers are able to portray feelings into pictures using non human element. That’s what differs them with photographer. (No hard feelings all photographers out there, I still enjoy your work, seriously!)

Maybe I will build my own portfolio soon, just to make it an ego booster for the day..haha!

A Walk On The Beach

baganlalang.jpg

This picture was taken using Sony K750i phone during our trip to Bagan Lalang in 2005. It was a few days before our wedding anniversary.

We were there around 5pm and had to wait for the ikan bakar restaurant to start operating before we had great dinner.

You can say it was a romantic fluorescent light dinner with mosquitoes biting all over me. Why do mosquitoes always attack me, huh!?!

How would you like to spend time shopping using coupon codes online? You don’t need to dress up to go out, get stucked in the traffic jammed, fight with the front car driver for the one empty parking space at the congested shopping mall and yet come home empty handed because you couldn’t find the perfect bargain for that set of plates.

With CouponChief you get 20% off on your Corelle selection. How about that? Let’s have a look at the range of offers CouponChief provides. This is a perfect choice to make using the Cooking.com coupon deals. Look what I’ve chosen for my dinner set. The Chutney pattern does look good on the dining table, right!

While you are browsing at the website, don’t miss the chance to save money on the clearance sales. They have over 400 items for clearance. Now you have a valid excuse to buy that Bundform pan..haha!

More On National Craft Exhibition

pottery.jpg

I snapped a lot of craft related pictures during my trip to the Kompleks Kraf few weeks ago. As usual after editing, I saved in one folder and as my picture collections grew over the next few weeks, I forgot which folder has which pictures.

So this is the big pottery man. You can see at the back there is another man doing a smaller pottery, he’s smoking with one hand while sculpting the vase with another, huh! (It’s that easy to make your own pottery item…haha!)

I’m going to go again soon since I missed the chance to do the batik painting. I thought the batik shop will open till night so I went around window shopping at the Expo area. When I came back around 7pm, the batik shop was closed..huhuhu…

So next time I post a batik painting here, you’ll know that that’s my own creation and hard work..haha!
