An acquaintance helped to buy this batik painting kit from Yayasan Restu in Shah Alam. I thought it would be a different experience for my son to try batik painting. After all the technique is not the same as painting with watercolor or acrylic paint.
This is how it looks like after he finished painting the first kit. He really loves it and continued to paint the second piece. I actually have to beg him to not paint the third one because I want to try my hand in batik painting as well, huhu!
This is the piece after I have touched up the empty white spaces he left and putting on some darker tones on the painting so that the quote “Allahu Akbar” will look more prominent. We plan to send all the batik pieces to be framed soon.
