We went to buy groceries at Jusco last Sunday and I noticed all the minyak kelapa sawit (palm oil) like Vesawit, Seri Murni all gone from the cooking oil shelves. Luckily I have bought a 5kg minyak Seri Murni 2 weeks ago and hopefully it could last until they restock the cooking oil. I think I use those cooking oil a lot, like 10kg for 3 months because I never recycle the used oil. Once I fry, I will throw away the oil.
Worse come to worst, I might have to buy the corn oil as the substitute since I dislike peanut oil. Even that is not available, most people took at least 2 bottles of the 5kg Minyak Cap Buruh (Cap Helang, Cap Pisau) in their shopping trolleys. Must be their stock especially when the Chinese New Year is looming near in 4 weeks. Since I only use either Vesawit and Seri Murni, I just have to pray the stock will come in soon. Otherwise I have to change my cooking regime to baking, roasting, steaming and boiling..heh!
Despite the limited supply of cooking oil at home, I still cook nasi ayam today. The chicken is only good when you deep fry them..hehe!
Pelik, kelapa sawit byk tp minyak masak x cukup.Panik pengguna atau spekulasi pemborong/pengilang?emmm sbb itu ler pentingnya penghasilan bahan makanan dalam negera sendiri.Klu jd mcm ni ssh kita dibuatnya….
