I was watching Desperate Housewives yesterday on my cable channel (yes, it’s the season which was over long time ago in the US) and last night was the episode where Andrew, Bree’s abandoned son came out on TV and told everyone about his alcoholic mom.
Well, in the previous season Bree has been into rehabilitation center for her drinking problem and I think early this season she was able to distance herself from the problem quite well (thanks to the new dentist husband and a bunch of flowering plants in the hot sun).
My point is if somehow you think and really feel that you need help for this kind of problem, drug addiction or alcoholism (or you know anyone who does need help), finding a good place that could provide a shelter and safe house for detoxification and drug rehabilitation is the first crucial step.
At Watershed, they have 12-Step involvement program, dependency education and family therapy which make it a point for everyone to realize that this kind of addiction and harmful dependency is actually a disease that wrecks the whole family, not you alone.
Check out the program and you can see how viable their plan is, plus it is affordable provided you want to change yourself for the better. Ask yourself what is more valuable than to have your life back on track. After all you wouldn’t want to abandon your son on the street, right?
