A few months ago, a friend of mine bought a Nikon D40x for her photography adventure. I already bought D50 last year and I was quite happy, of course there is so much more about the camera and the techniques that I need to learn and master, but honestly having a digital camera is an experience like no other.
I also own a Sony T30 just in case I need something compact to put inside my handbag and just grab out in time to take pictures (maybe while on the road, at the restaurant etc). This is one of the pictures I took recently while I was in the city waiting for the traffic to move.
I also use the digital camera for my products shooting. Since I own a handicraft business, having a reliable digital camera would help boost the sales by letting the clients see how the products look like in details before they decide to place the orders.
Personally for me, having a digital camera is really a good investment. You might travel to a great place or see such a captivating view and yet when you do not have any picture to look later, your vivid memories of such place and moment will diminish slowly in your own mind. Having a digital camera gives you the freedom to snap as many pictures as you like and later if you are not satisfied with the quality of the pictures you could always delete them and keep the best for the rest of your travel journal.
I think the next camera I would like to buy is a Sony DSLR-A100K. I already have a Nikon DSLR so I would like to have some other brands to compare. I would also love to get a wide angle lens and a macro lens to complete my DSLR accessories collection.
