Fixing Dinner

I was doing my craft work downstairs while watching Supernatural. I was thinking to go to bed early tonight but then my favourite cooking related show – Fixing Dinner was on air at Discovery Home & Health channel. So I decided to wait another 30 minutes to see how this week’s family cope with their eating and cooking issues.

I realized that when you are too busy, juggling your life and your family schedule, being able to eat at home is like a luxury especially when you are able to eat your home-cooked food which you and everyone else in the household like the taste..(not some take away pizza or KFC to fill up a starving tummy..haha!)

Well, actually cooking is not that hard but having to spend the extra time to sort out in term of preparation and cleaning up the mess in the kitchen after the cooking and dining is what turn off most people from cooking. So with Fixing Dinner, the busy family are able to plan what to cook throughout the month and know what’s ahead in their menu. I like the fact that most of the dishes are so easy and simple to prepare. Maybe I have to think of something more Malaysian taste to add to my own Fixing Dinner program.

For this week despite my busy plan, I decided to try to cook at home as much as possible, mostly because I am sick to think on what to order at the restaurant. Plus if I am cooking, I don’t need to dress up to go out for dinner. But maybe during the weekend I will take some time off to focus on my crafts order that is nearing the dateline..huhu!
