Access PC At Home?

*This post is written for RemotePC*

I was out on official business to the city a few months ago and somehow I stumbled on a good place to print business card. Why does it always happen that way when you least expect to go there? huh!

The graphic designer seems to understand what I want on my business card but I have no logo with me at that time. How I wish that I can access my PC at home remotely from his iMac. It would be easier for me to show how the layout should be like and what is actually my preference when it comes to printing my SOHO craft business card.

Nevertheless we did discuss and after I went back home I straight away email him my logo. But it took him more than a week and I was not even happy to see what he came out with.

Since it was hard for me to get to his place again and I don’t think discussion through email suits him, I decided maybe it was not meant to be for me to print my business card yet.

If you are running a business at home with all your necessary data in your home PC, maybe it’s time that you consider subscribing to service like RemotePC.com.

It will allow you to have remote access to the host computer (in this case it should be the home PC) while you are on the road, on vacation or on outstation trip. You might never know when the need arises for certain data in your PC.

If you are in doubt, try their 30 days free trial for RemotePC Basic plan. If you are happy with it, after the free trial is over, you only have to pay $4.95 per month for 1 host.

What I like the most about this is the browser based access to the host computer from anywhere provided there is Internet connection. Currently it runs on Windows Vista, XP, 2000, Windows Server 2003 (Service pack 4 and above).

And don’t worry about the security of your data since all communication between the viewer and the host computer is encrypted using 128-bit RC4/SS.
